The two people behind the kitchen

Cravings And Delight is run day to day by the two people who founded it — more than 45 years of kitchens, dining rooms and hotel floors between them, now pointed at one room on Daniels Way SW.

Executive Chef & Founder

Chef Kamal Bajaj

Kamal has spent more than 21 years in professional kitchens. He holds a diploma in Culinary Arts from IHM Pusa in New Delhi, India, is a Red Seal certified chef in Canada, and has taken home awards from culinary competitions in Dubai. He cooked at Fort Edmonton Park, NAIT, La Ronde and the Edmonton Country Club before opening Cravings And Delight, and at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai before that. Modern technique, traditional flavours, and a plate that goes out right — that is the whole ambition.

Mona Bajaj

Mona has worked in hospitality for over 25 years, across Dubai, the United States and now Canada, and she knows both ends of a restaurant — front of house and back. Her rooms include the seven-star Burj Al Arab in Dubai, Hyatt Hotel, Olive Garden, Boston Pizza and St. Louis. She is also a certified professional bartender. If your table is looked after at Cravings And Delight, that is Mona’s doing.
